Built this rod for smallmouth and steelhead on the Salmon River in Pulaski, and couldn't be happier. Not too stiff, not too soft, just right.. can fish it all day at any length without fatigue. Well done.. Mel

Disappointing. Very soft action that bends right down into the handle. No crispness and a soggy bounce on the recovery. Performed slightly better with a 6-line, but I had to slow my casting action right down. Also feels top-heavy. I was told that this was a better rod than the Sage Z-Axis but it doesn't come anywhere near - it's much slower and heavier. Either that, or I've been duped and sold a cheap blank instead???
